Phnom Penh Days 03 Tour

1. Oudong Mountain (Phnom Oudong)
The Ancient Royal Capital Rising dramatically from the plains, Oudong was the capital of Cambodia for over 250 years. A climb up the 500+ steps rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views and a series of magnificent stupas holding the remains of ancient kings. It is a sacred site where history and spirituality meet, offering a peaceful atmosphere away from the city’s hustle and bustle.
2. Phnom Chisor
A Temple in the Clouds Phnom Chisor is an 11th-century Brahmanism temple built on a hilltop in Takeo Province. The well-preserved ruins feature intricate lintels and carvings that pre-date many Angkorian temples. The true highlight is the “Stairway to Heaven”—a long climb that offers a stunning view of the surrounding rice paddies and the ancient ritual ponds below.
3. Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Center (Zoo)
Cambodia’s Sanctuary for Rare Animals More than just a zoo, Phnom Tamao is a rescue center for animals saved from the illegal wildlife trade. It is home to sun bears, elephants, gibbons, and the rare Siamese crocodile. Spread across a vast forest, it offers an ethical way to see Cambodia’s incredible biodiversity up close while supporting vital conservation and rehabilitation efforts.
4. Ta Prohm Temple (Tonle Bati)
Angkorian Grandeur by the River Often confused with its famous namesake in Siem Reap, this Ta Prohm is a hidden gem located on the banks of the Tonle Bati River. Built by King Jayavarman VII in the late 12th century, this Bayon-style temple is remarkably well-preserved. Its proximity to the river makes it a popular spot for locals to enjoy a picnic in floating bamboo huts after exploring the ancient stone carvings.
5. Euro Park Garden
A Slice of Europe in Cambodia Located in the Borey Peng Huoth development, Euro Park is a whimsical and highly “Instagrammable” destination. It features replicas of famous European landmarks, including a Dutch windmill, London’s Big Ben, and Venetian canals. With beautifully landscaped gardens and a clean, modern atmosphere, it’s a favorite spot for evening walks, photography, and family outings.
